Introduction of performing groups of opening ceremo
1. Yu Gu Fun Drum Group:
by local abundant folk performances of Taiwan, Japanese Drum Tao, American drum; with western and eastern drum music of western percussion music and Chinese traditional instruments such as flute and erhu fiddle, cultural content and modern music elements are applied in Chinese traditional drum. There are rich physical and skill change. With bold and delicate innovation as well as the essence of tradition and modernity, it leads new trend of modern drum performance and develops new music of diverse drum techniques. Yu Gu Fun Drum Group introduces the impressive performance and leads to the future of Taoyuan Fugang Railway Arts Festival 2020. |
2. Flying stilts group:
it was launched and shown in the street treading in Tamsui. The modeling is designed by the professional teachers and the members make the costumes by environmental materials and discuss the themes of performance. They practice on holidays or leisure time. Making of stilts is gradually improved. The stilts group in Tamsui is constructed by members from different industries who enjoy performing art and intend to interact with the people to introduce performing art and stilts to the public. They show the peace and hope in the period of quarantine. |
3. Techno Prince Nezha and Earth God: it is the combination of techno music, local subculture and Prince Nezha of traditional folk performance. The songs are familiar for everyone and the local dance is interesting and popular in Taiwan and around the world. It connects with local Bo Gong.

4.Chinese Pu Chia Kai Kou Lion Dance Group/ Art troupe:
With traditional Hakka square mouth lion, lion dance, dragon dance, drums, cymbals, flags, they march forward with power and celebrate the opening! |
5. The Super Star: it is a unique dance education group which combines cultural creativity and dance in Taiwan. The dance group which has rooted in Taiwan for 25 years transforms dance education into children’s drama. It is a special creative performance group for children and young people in Taiwan.

6. Sun Son Theatre: It was founded in 1998 and a performance group of different fields which trigger people’s primitive originality. By the members of music, drama, dance and art, it explores the primitive power of body and sound and with collective creation, it develops the aesthetics of theatre of “performance, music and dance” “which emphasizes the power of energy and interaction. The creation includes images, narration, experiment and popularity. The audiences can be from all ages and groups.
Thus, it establishes the aesthetics of theatre and performance style upon bodies and music. It is a unique music physical theatre. |

Adventure of the little dinosaur in Fugang
Little dinosaur met a little friend Da Mao who showed the little dinosaur around. They saw the train and Da Mao introduced the railway culture in Taiwan, gratitude and tradition, to the little dinosaur. Since it was still early, Da Mao took the little dinosaur to Fugang Station by train. After the adventure, Da Mao took the little dinosaur home! When Da Mao was at home, he should try to hide the dinosaur from his parents. Let’s see how smart Da Mao and the little dinosaur play together in Fugang and the little dinosaur experience the exciting adventure!
Introduction of performing groups on holidays Round 1: Fall in love with Fugung culture
1. Daylight and moonlight :
Brother Daylight (Chuan Tang) and Zhang Chun Quan, by the most professional Hakka comic dialogues, introduce the characteristics and railway culture of Fugang to the public by interesting and playful way. |
2. Taipei Quyituan:
[Taipei Quyituan] was founded on August 4, 1993. Upon “revival of national culture‧glorification of traditional art”, it aims to promote the tradition and development of the art of narration and chanting by advanced business operation. “Narrative art” is ancient performing art in Taiwan and it is also called “the art of narration and chanting”. In short, “narrative art” is a kind of “narrative performance” to show a story or scene by narration and chanting. It is interesting and diverse. |
3.Bogonggang Hakka Cultural Association:
1. Bogonggang community is an authentic Hakka village. Hakka people are 85% of the population. They mostly rely on agriculture and it is the base of rice supply in Taoyuan County. Since the cultivation is based on rice, local rice culture, local rice culture shows the tradition of Hakka. With simple people and the residents’ frequent exchange, various art groups are created, such as Fugang and Drum, Chen Sa Pi Band which show Hakka culture and spirit by different performances. |
Round 2: Parents-children concerts
1.Folk song singer-Roger Wang :
he was the well-known singer in early folk song period. By affective and powerful singing and simple appearance, Roger Wang broke through the rule that only handsome men and beautiful girls could be popular in the singing circle. He became a unique singer with competence. He released five albums in three years and they were best-sellers. Thus, his songs were popular around Taiwan. Since he is easy-going and talented, he is called the singer of common people. |
2. EIEC - DC Band:
EIEC aims to create refined and international entertainment industry. After years of development, it accumulates professional planning and production. Through the transmission of global entertainment information, it establishes the model of Asian entertainment market in Taiwan. |
3. MOMO TV:
It is the most popular program of MoMo TV. Based on education and entertainment, it emphasizes health, happiness, learning, self-community relationship and parents-children relationship. For children, teenagers and parents, it provides the medium which completes physical and mental development, concerns about public welfare, education and entertainment to accompany the parents and children!Sister Vanilla and MOMO puppets will dance and sing with the children and parents with simple questions related to the activity to give away the gifts at any time. |
Round 3: Hakka songs
1.ZiXuan & Slow Train:
A Hakka who has traveled in Central and South America for years. His first Hakka album “Two Worlds” successfully adapted Hakka songs with exotic rhythms in the performance. Tito Tang shows Latin style of Hakka in Taiwan, his affection to the hometown and experience in the foreign country. With exciting Latin instruments and rhythms, it introduces the diversity and international elements of new generation to Hakka music in Taiwan. |
2. ChuNoodle:
the name is based on plain noodles in Taiwan. By clarinet and bass clarinet in the band as well as Hakka and Holo, it shows the unique style. It was awarded as “Best Crossover/World Music Single” in 2019 Golden Indie Music Awards. |
3.Hsiao-ning Hsu:
Hakka pop music singer, born in Hsinchu County, Taiwan. She has released two albums. In 2004, she joined in Nao Ta Lai Tai and was the winner. In the same year, she produced the first personal album Ling Xi Mei and was Best Hakka New Singer of Golden Melody Awards. In 2008, she published the second album 2008 Ching Ning Xin Chu and was nominated as Best Hakka Singer of Golden Melody Awards in the next year. |
Round 4: Crazy love in Fugang
1.Mirza Atif Ali Baig:
He is the mixed blood of India and Taiwan and the descendant of the Mughal Dynasty, distant relative of Indian royal blood. Thus, he is called the prince of India. His ancestors were from Iran, the origin of his name. In 2009, he joined in the third season of Super Idol in Taiwan and was ranked Number 5. He can sing diverse styles of songs in five languages. |
2.Jazz queen- “Emily Kuan”
Local Latin Jazz queen of Taiwan- “Emily Kuan” will sing mainly in Hakka with other languages, such as Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka, English, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese. She will perform the most exciting and high-class combination of songs to the public. |
3.Hung Ru Music Group:
It is a young band founded by a group of intellectuals with passion in Hakka music. They combine western and Chinese instruments and adapt the songs to create new life of traditional Hakka ballads! |
