Rice wave, pond, canal, train, camellia, mountain of Earth God are the essential elements of Fugang life; use the land and resources of environment is the characteristic of Hakka people’s lives; when they are not busy at rural work, they drink tea and chat with each other beside Earth God temple under the banyan. Women share the work, such as grinding and preparing the rice, cooking steamed cake and Niu Wen Shui. LIN Shuen-Long
Graduated from Department of Arts in University of Japan in 1986, studied fresco research in Graduate Institute of Fine Arts of University of Tokyo and applied design concept to large public art space. In 1991, the creator studied in École nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris for one year and obtained the residential identity as artist. After returning to Taiwan in 1996, the creator taught in several schools and was devoted to public art. |
