Materials : Metal, drift wood Size : L1.8 ✕ H3.5m Based on Egret in the fields; it is the extension of stainless steel strips on the wall of Min Fu Road; with environmental materials, it creates the work of Egret on the ground and shows family affection by parents-children image. Beak and feet are the materials of metal and the body is made of drift wood with the color of Bubulcus ibis which means the landscape of Fugang; wasted natural materials are reconstructed with strong visual effect which encourages the public to reflect on the environmental issues. Graduated from Department of Arts in University of Japan in 1986, studied fresco research in Graduate Institute of Fine Arts of University of Tokyo and applied design concept to large public art space. In 1991, the creator studied in École nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris for one year and obtained the residential identity as artist. After returning to Taiwan in 1996, the creator taught in several schools and was devoted to public art. |
