Materials : Wooden millstone installation, illustration books, LED lights, metal Size : 70x70x110cm nspired both by Fugang’s old-street culture and independent bookstores, the artist created five installations entitled “Rice Mill Book,” which are adapted rice mills that represent farming culture. Each installation is showcased in one historical shop on Fugang’s main old street, and local culture is told through illustration books that match the shops’ best features. During the display period, educational workshops are held to introduce the once declining rice-mill sector. As workshop attendants read the illustration books, they can rediscover Fugang’s special rice mills. |
