In every town, there are little shops owned by locals, and the shops’ customers are also residents nearby. The shop owners do not make advertisements; they simply hang up shop signs. Just on the contrary, hamburger and fried chicken chains go out of their ways touting their products all over the world. Through this project, I hope to introduce these local shops across the globe.

Tatahiko Suzuki
The Japanese artist lives and works in Taiwan. Takahiko Suzuki graduated from Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan, and now lives in Taiwan. He has accumulated many exhibition residencies and experiences all over the world. The World Store project started with Takahiko Suzuki's exhibition project in Australia in 2009 officially. He thinks about the connector between place and world through the term globalization.
