Artist Feng Cheng-tsung draws inspiration from traditional handicrafts. By transforming traditional bamboo chair upholstery, he set up this large installation in Fugang. Bamboo (sensibility) and metal (sense) are woven in “z” patterns to present this artwork entitled “Meeting Dome." This is because, in Mandarin, the word "people" - 人 - looks somewhat like "z."  People are encouraged to take a rest inside the finely structured space, just like in the old days villagers would chit chat under a big tree, in front of their houses, or in small valleys.

Cheng-Tsung Feng, a young artist who has won many important international awards, established Studio Kao Gong Ji Co., Ltd. in 2015. He specializes in installation art, sculpture, traditional crafts, and handcrafted product development.
